Im going away with my dad and we have no idea where to go or what to do, we share no common interests and he never takes me anywhere, the only reason he says he is going to take me somewhere is because he took my brother on holidays last week, neither of us are really into sports and stuff but here lies the question: What can a 16 year old girl do with her father to have fun on holidays for a few days?

go to the movies, play putt putt golf, hike, or just do the most outrageous thing, TALK. Sound's like you need to reconnect with your dad. Fill him in on your life, ask advice (even if you think you don't need it) and just bond. You don't need a plan, you need to become father/daughter again.

Good luck

To be honest that is a bad answer he had , just because he did it with his son... IF he is forcing himself, that is sad, You take the lead and ask if you could plan the schedule.. Movies maybe, shopping at a local mall, or try an arcade , if that is something you like, maybe you will have to convince him to do th ings you like , since he could care less. Maybe go to the beach, restaurant, dinner.... have breakfast somewhere... advice " enjoy some of his interests and he can enjoy some of your interests, get to know him and he can get to know you.. good luck, hope the relationship gets alot better... take care

If you try and find something you will both be bored out of your brain...how about using this time to get to know him by doing the things that he's into. Eventhough it might be real weird but do it with interest it will show your dad that you are interested in his things and that will make him be interested in doing the things that you like!

Dads are handy ppl to have around...for a while mine was kinda gone and i really missed him and now that he's back there's been a massive balance back in my family...give it a go. You have nothing to lose.
