Are you Misinformed about Islam?

When the word "Islam" or "Muslim" is mentioned, the thing that comes to the mind of non-muslim is hate, violence, killings, bloodshed, curroption, and many other other bad things. While in its true picture and nature, Islam is Peace, Harmony, Justice, and Human Developtment both physically and spiritually.

The main cause of this is that the western media never say the good things about the religion, they only talk about the negative side of some few people whom are hungry to rule not looking at Islam as a community but only as a political movement to achieve an aim which every muslim is willing to, while this is very wrong.

They use this means to blackpaint the religion in order to achieve their own aim.

If you rely on the western media to learn about Islam, then you are really misinformed, and you are missing a huge diamond under your pillow.

Its now time to know Islam as Muslims know it. Do you know that a 6 year old Muslim can give you the Complete history of Jesus.

The fact that the sword and power were means of spreading Islam is not a sources of shame for Islam, rather it is one of its strengths and virtues, because that makes people adhere to that which will benefit them in this world and in the Hereafter. Many people are foolish and lacking in wisdom and knowledge, and if they are left to their own devices they will remain blinded to the truth, indulging in their whims and desires. So Allaah has prescribed jihad in order to bring them back to the truth and to that which will benefit them. Undoubtedly wisdom dictates that the fool should be prevented from doing that which will harm him, and should be forced to do that which will benefit him.

Although I was born into a muslim family, I started to question Islam and faith since I was very young. Atheists had tried to talk me into believing there was no God. I kept on researching the web - went through the most anti Islamic sites, also went through Islamic sites. The sites only defied eachother and said things only against eachother. I decided to see for myself which side was true - and the truth had rung on me. I researched other religions and found them to be lighthouses to lead to the real truth - God's true religion, the religion Islam. I m glad others have found the same path - God bless them
Even Through all the negative media on Islam, we cannot deny the fact that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the whole world. Islam is turning as clear to us as it always had been. I ask Allah for forgiveness about the fact that I was so rebellious in my youth, favouring science to anything Islamic. But now i Know that science is just research which is everyday showing us the truth of Allah, His prophets and the Last Day. I will always be proud of the fact that I had found Islam through researching it, considering everything accused (wrongly, ofcourse) against it. I have understood Islam, Thank u Allah. I hope all who havent known true Islam find it with their heart - They do not know what they r missing.

When I hear the word Muslim or Islam, I get the same mental picture that I do when I hear the words, Christian, or Christianity. There's only a hairs difference in them really. Just so you know, it isn't a nice mental image. It's of a person capable of tremendous intelligence and compassion, but is ignorant by choice and hostile towards all others.

No, I am not! ! I honestly used to belive Islam was "misunderstood" until the Danish cartoons thing, when I started to find out more. I dimly remembered something (from the preface of my Penguin copy of the Koran) about Mohammed being at the head of some large army and wiping out a few towns, and tried to find out the historical truth behind this. I was shocked to discover that Islam is NOT a religion of peace. I can safely say, on the authority of the Koran and Haddiths, that Mohammed was a paedophile, a slaver, a warlord and a killer. I delved further online and discovered new resources. This link below taught me all I need to know:

And what I saw was evil - black, satanic evil - all quoted from the pages of the Koran.The webmaster offers $50,000 if proved wrong, but as all quotes are from your "holy" books, it is unlikely he will need to part with his money.

Actually the western media often has articles showing the positive side of Islam. There have also been documetaries on western television depicting how brutal the Crusades were. Western media often runs commentaries that are critical of Israel and the war on terror. You should watch the western media with an uncritical eye and you will see what I am saying. Does Al Jhezeera run stories critical of Islamic fanaticism? We don't get their broadcasts where I am.

Non-muslims dont have a topic with the headband fetish. Its the burkah and the purpose behind it. Its a medieval psychology which non-muslims have aproblem with. women individuals ARE abused and oppressed through many tribal muslim communities becasue they do no longer favor to include modernity. If Islam develop into so large then there wouldnt be sucicide bombers or beheadings of inncocents. Your Imams have an exceedingly good way of perverting your faith to be hateful, illiberal and self damaging.

I agree with you completely. What you have to say is precise and with objectivity and unemotional. I am not a Muslim, but I get too emotional with the the bigots and uninformed people on this site.

I am an ex Christian who is now a Jew. I wish I could get more true information to people. I guess the media has me beat, tho, in having a captive audience.

When I think of Islam, I think of Jihad, wife beating, Adult men

In a "discussion" with a moslim he informed me that in the bible Jesus said " think not that I came to bring peace ,but a sword". But unless you read the revelation ,the Urantia Book , you will miss the whole story.
