how do I stop my PC from trying to install a program whenever it starts up?

Whenever I switch on my PC, once windows XP starts, it begins to install a program called PhotoGallery and asks me to insert a disk to continue with the installation. I'm not sure why this is happening but would like to stop this action on start-up.
