The seat is powered all the time. take a test light and see if it lights. If it lights at the plug under the seat your problem is motor and switch related. Now which one? unbolt the four seat bolts follow the power wire to the switch with the test light and operate the switch follow the switched wire to the seat motor Two way switches turn on the ground and power to move both ways. so check both sides for power and hook the end of the test light to Power and see if the ground is getting to the motor. Most the time old Z it is the switch. Smacking the motor with a hammer sometimes makes them run too.
