A "Standard" glass of water in the US is 8oz and since there are a ton of ways to measure a drop which is also a variable measurement we can go with the Pharlacist Measure of a Drop. With a drop being rounded to exactly 0.05mL (that is, 20 drops per millilitre), there are 29.6mL in 1oz.

(20 drops * 29.6 mL) * 8oz = 4736drops.

how long is a piece of string?

a single drop of water is a limited size, a 'glass' can be many sizes... so thats a variable

better to use maths and science.. VOLUME to measure it instead

1 - because when the water is in the glass it is one body of water not millions of little droplets.
