Try these methods:
1. Spread peanut butter onto the hair where the gum is attached and massage into the gum. Let it set for about 15 minutes, then rub again. It should start to crumble apart; then wash hair in regular shampoo. Repeat process if necessary.

2. Rub a dab of mayonnaise in your hair where the gum is and after working it through a bit, it should slide off easily.

3. You can get gum out of your hair by using ice. Wait till the gum gets hard from it being so cold then just pick off the hair.

I agree with Linda Jo V, I had very long hair in school, and kids were always spitting chewing/bubble gum onto other kids' heads when they were going down the stairs. If I had to cut it out every time it happened, I would have been bald within a few months. The best way to get it out is to lubricate and soften it with some oil, then tease the hairs out individually. It takes ages, but at least you'll be able to save as many hairs as possible. I did try the ice-cube method, but it never worked for me (though perhaps I was doing it wrong...) I hope you get it out anyway :-/

they say freeze the item with chewing gum on, but has you can`t put your head in a freezer you will have to settle for ice cube! when the chewing gum goes hard you should be able to pull it out, i would then go to the hair dressers and make sure it hasn`t caused split ends.

put a cold ice cube each side of the offending bubblegum and wait a few minutes, then it should be hard enough to pull out, as it sets the gooey bubble gum so its easier to remove!! x

Get two ice cubes and sandwich the gum between them. When the gum goes brittle then break it out.

Use a couple of ice cubes to freeze (harden) the chewing gum and then it should crumble away.
