Self taught.
Books and classes can teach you some basic tricks and programming words; but the BEST way to learn a computer is to get on it and see what you can do. And these days, it is much easier with simple help menus when you need to find, say a way to make a table in Word or create a Macro.

just got one and started learning on my own, 10 years ago. read all of the help files I could find on my computer and just had fun with it.
