Theres this guy I like whos really shy and doesnt talk to people much, he just sits on his own. I have talked to him and hes actually really nice, but he only talks if i go up to him and start a conversation. I really like him but its hard 2 tell if he likes me because hes so shy. Any ideas?

He probably likes you but if he's shy he's probably also scared to make any sort of move.
Tell him you like him. He probably feels the same.

Hey, for such type of people, the best way is to make good friendship with them first.Try to understand his like and dislikes. Don't force him to speak. Such people generally have a more urge to speak, just they don't find a good listener. So try yo be a good listener first. Spend more time with him.
Talk about general things first. Then surely he'll open up to u as time passes by.

It's very common for boys to be shy but they will never admit it!OK lets see,he may not be the ice breaker but at least he talks to you which is great.Take it easy with him,don't push to fast and who knows?As your friendship grows so will trust and that alone will over come his shyness.Good luck.

Next time you go talk to him ask him why he's so shy. Then tell him you're gonna take him out to bolster his confidence. And take him out somewhere.

Try to create the special circumstances that u need the traditional questions: how' sthe weather today?
how have u been lately?
what r ur late news?
etc.. ur smart act fast!!

He probably likes an older girl. The way he is acting just says it. I had that problem.
