my son aged about 7 years learning karate.Many people tell me that he may not grow taller because the sound they make while doing karate produces harmones which hinders his height.Is it true

Does karate make you short? Does basketball make you tall? Does being a jockey make you small? Does sumo wrestling make you fat?
No.
In each case, the sport attracts the body type.
Tall people are more successful in basketball, so there are lots of tall basketball players. Horse racing requires light weight riders, so there are lots of small jockeys. Sumo wrestling requires weight, so there are lots of fat sumo wrestlers.
Karate is a good activity for short kids, so they are attracted to karate, and there are lots of short people doing karate. Karate did not make them short. It gave them something they could do well.

Nah, it is all to do with kids working out when they are younger. The body uses more to produce muscle instead of growth. People are telling you that your son wont grow taller than a 7 year old because of Karate noises? Give them a slap will you!. Kept in check your son will grow up to be fit, healthy and confident. Try not to do it excessively since you need the balance of both fitness and body growth to be ok.
Since you are the parent, just keep and eye on your son that he is not taking the Karate lessons overboard. As long as he eats well, trains well and works hard at shool, then he will be fine.
Balance is the key!

Don't worry about it. It won't stunt his growth and will actually lessen the growing pains he'll feel later in life. He's exercising and that's wonderful!
The sound they make when punching is actually made to get a little more umph behind the punch and teaches him how to breath while doing it.
If the child turns out to be short, it's because somewhere in the genetic line there was a short person.

Yes it is true. Haven't you seen all these blackbelts running around that are only 46 inches tall. I would worry about this.
