It depends, usually if there isn't much liquid you can cover it to let the food cook better, or if there is too much liquid you might want to add a cover to prevent it from splattering around in your oven.

Generally covering the food will not affect the cooking time. Covering with a porcelain plate can help cook soup based foods faster though.

You don't necessarily have to unless the recipe calls for it but it is a good idea anyway just to prevent whatever you are cooking from splattering all over the microwave and making a mess.

its better to keep the vessel covered in any microwave as then chances of food splattering all over the machine can be avoided as cleaning becomes very difficult then.

it hardly matters coz in microwave food gets cooked by the way of inner heat means radiation .so there is no risk so its ur wish food wont get spoil if its made uncovered
