I think that sprinkling is obsolete because the fabrics now are mostly wrinkle free or made from weaves that don't wrinkle very much. I still iron but just use a steam iron, and if I really had to, my iron has a burst of steam feature to get out creases and stubborn wrinkles. The old stiff cotton shirts had to be dampened with water because otherwise the wrinkles wouldn't come out.

I bear in mind sprinkling clothing basically until now you ironed them. I heard approximately putting them in the refrigerator until you have been waiting to iron them. The water could dry out until now you have been waiting to iron the 2nd merchandise and the refrigerator did the trick. in a protracted time steam irons grew to become popular and additionally spray starch replaced sprinkling them. I no longer often ever iron now because of the fact the fabric are better and taking clothing out of the drying pronto does the trick for me.

I think it will help your wrinkled clothes straighten up a little better.
And I usually iron with water in the iron, so I get a little steam going throughout the process.
