Romantic love is based on the old Edwardian principals.
Bring a young lady flowers: white ones meant one message, red meant another, sit with a chaperon, write poems and sonnets for your loved one, write billet doux, drop a glove for attention, ask ones intentions, etc
These things are no longer in vogue in these times of childhood unwed pregnancies and the like...
Too bad too - as naive as they seem today, at least we didn't have 70% of children being born into single parent families.

When you can not get another person off your mind. When that person is first to you. When you consider their feelings before you act. When your desire is but to see their smile, touch their hand, hear their voice, taste their lips, smell their neck and nuzzle in close.
My perception of a romantic evening with my significant other is when we both meet at home to work together. I believe if you help someone carry a load that they will appreciate it. I feel you must not take each other for granted. You are the others cheerleader. You help hold them up. We enjoy cooking together, We do not expect the other to do it all. one may slip away to draw the other a bubble bath, or set up the massage table, We both enjoy candle light and soft music to lighten the surroundings. You are romantic when you desire to full fill your mates desires.
