Freeze them

Use fresh fruit. As you cut the apples, let them drop into a bowl of water that has had some citric acid added to it (There are commercial products containing citric acid for use in canning, or you can use real lemon juice). The citric acid prevents the apples from turning brown. Make sure to follow the canning steps precisely to kill all the bacteria and remove all the air, or you may end up with fermented fruit. Lots of stuff on the web. Check out Betty Crockers Cook book, or the link below.

Cook them now and then freeze them, slice the apples up before cooking and freezing and split them up into the portions you want, if not store them in a dark cool and dry place

Store them in wooden baskets or boxes in a dry dark basement .Then they last almost some months. The only thing about storing them like that:they loose moisture and look like someones grandmother who is severely dehydrated. But they can still be used.Happy now?Greetings:Robbie Holland.

there are two ways in which you can preserve them. One is to squeeze some fresh lemon juice when you have sliced them up and then you can freeze them or cook them first and then freeze them in a plastic container.

Pick the best ones, no marks, not bruised, no nibbles and put them in dry store, somewhere cool and dark -check over occasionally.
Second best can be frozen but I would bottle them as so easy and saves room in the freezer.

Store them in your fridge in a bowl with a liberal splash of orange or lemon juice on top of then!! This stops them oxidizing and going that nasty brown colour!!
