I remember seeing an old black and white film clip of the miracle at fatima. It showed hundreds of people walking up the hill, and then total panic as the shadows moved across them. The narrator said that they all saw the sun plumet towards them, thus causing the shadows that were seen on the crowd. Was this actual footage, or a hollywood recreation? Do you really think that the big secret was that the pope would be shot? Or do you believe there is more?

It was hollywood. The real event was much more spectacular. You can still read the newspaper accounts of what happened.

The contents of the last secret is still the matter of some controversy.

The historical fact is that the "Miracle of the Sun" occurred on October 13, 1917 and was witnessed by 70,000 people. You can verify this fact by any website stating the history of Fatima or the newspapers.

The kids thought they saw something and then the adults thought they saw something. Did they really see something or was it all in their mind? Only those there know for sure.
