Yes, it is normal. At the bottom of the follicle the epithelium swells to form a hair bulb..the epithelium has many nerve endings, and are part of the dog's sense of touch..

Yes, this is a completely normal anatomical feature on all animals with whiskers. The whiskers are very sensitive and can be moved by small muscles in the "bumps". I cannot remember the exact word for them, but they're normal as long as they aren't red or growing in size/number. Make sure your puppy eats out of a stainless steel bowl to reduce the chance of an allergic reaction to cheap plastic ones. Stainless steel is easier to sanitize than the porous, plastic.

Take him to a vet.My dog has lumps shes a Labrador. Vets said there fatty lumps which is not a problem.Mind she got them when she was 6.To be on the safe side best to get your puppy checked.

as your dog is still young its proberly surpose be to there. if you are consurned talk to a vet. if its me and its not bothering my dog, then i would just leave it, but i would keep an eye on it. puppys often get lumps that look big and abnormal but as they get older, they tend to settal down. it might be the hair that has caused the the lump, if so leave it, it will sort it self.

My lab is 10 weeks old and she has them also, very normal, i asked my vet when i had her shots the other day.

thats normal, my dog has one on his cheek and another under his chin , its a doggy mole with a hair growing from it
