I always catch this girl looking at me, or walking the long way around something to walk by me, but when i try to talk to her she ignores me, what is that about?

Shy would be my guess. I did the same thing, once upon a time. If you are interested, or intrigued, try walking near her and saying, "I would love to buy you a coffee - I've been seeing you here for days..." If I was here it would work for me.
That's exactly what my "object of afffection" did. Just had our anniversary!

so here is ur answer. she does like u and she likes you a lot and no she is not shy but the fact is that she herself has not accepted the fact herself that she likes u. give her some time. if u like her then dont ignore her and let ur relation fail. just try to sit near her wherever u r together be near her and dont stick to her like a glue just talk to her softly in small bits and pieces. be affectionate towards her. do one or 2 wierdo things that she asks u to do(not very dangerous) and believe me one day she shall propose u.
but don't be harsh on here .. if u dont like her u can let her know this but very slowly. dont get too close to her cause if u get 2 close 2 her n tell her that u dont like her she will be very sad completely broken and shall never be able to face u again IF U DONT LIKE HER DONT DONT SPEAK TO HER. I guess she likes you but is nervous,but trust me you cannot assume such things till she actually comes and confesses the same...so i suggest just leave her alone,if shes interested she'll come to you or else just ignore her cos you tried once and thats the max you could do....so dont effected,just be normal and your self!!good luck!!

It sounds to me like she's really shy or embarrassed that you caught her looking at you. Make more of an effort to talk to her maybe.

if she walks out of her way to walk by you you need to decide what you are going to say to her. have a real cute smile and a good one liner ready for her like "what beutiful eyes you have" or "what a beautiful smile you have" and go from there.
