Firstly I don't even know the current average price as it's difficult to do survey of this category.
And I'm still wondering whether I should choose female or male one. And do dogs get common sickness like fever and others excluding the special ones?

Watch for hip and spinal problems. Lovely dogs, if you like the little ones. Bones can be very brittle - I know one that broke both front legs after jumping of a curb.

No unique sicknesses that I know of, but make sure you get a vet certificate as you will be paying between $600 and $900 for a purebred maltese.

Enjoy yr pup!

Also watch for epilepsy.

Make sure you get a certificate form the breeder saying the line is free from the inherited diseases and faults
