Hi,
African woman do have long hair. They have natural hair. Most African American women put chemicals and weave, extensions, relaxers and colors in OUR hair. Obviously you haven't seen many Africans. Most African woman, if you see them with short hair, trust me, it's more than likely it's because short hair is their choice of style. Africans, straight from Africa do my hair in Wisconsin. None of them have short hair, neither do they wear weave. The Africans that you see with short hair, that you think is so short, If they put a relaxer (perm) in their hair, you would be amazed at how long their short, tight, curly hair would straighten out to be. Africans are much more natural than us African Americans. Most black hair shops are owned by Africans.

Not many grow their hair long. It can be done, but it is a long process and the hair needs alot of care and attention. I have friends from Zimbabwe and Nigeria and their hair is very short. They wear weaves most of the time. It's just easier and quicker. The problem is, the hair is very coarse in texture and breaks easily if not treated properly. Not only this, due to the tightness of the curls, the hair seems to grow slower, or looks shorter than say, straight hair. I have seen black women with natural longer hair, but this is almost always relaxed, or if not, they are mixed race in some way (maybe generations ago there was white, native american, etc in their blood line).

There are many methods to make our hair grow faster, shine , glitter in natural ways without using chemicals. Learn here https://bitly.im/aL9CH Men, and sometimes women, notice that their hair is thinning prematurely for several different reasons. Age, menopause, pregnancy, genetics, illness, and other factors all play a role in hair loss. Sure, you can use drugs or you can go in for a hair transplant or fusion, but sometimes the easiest, most inexpensive solution, is to try to stop hair loss naturally.

Alot of them choose to cut their hair because it is easier to manage. There are lots of them out there in the world with hair down their backs you just have not been around enough.

because they relax it so they wont have afros but relaxing ur hair every 3 months REALLY damages ur hair hair so having long hair would mean INCREDIBLY split ends and it wouldn't look very nice.

I think they can...they just don't as often because of the texture of the hair.
