People feel threatened by monotheism. The Torah lays down how we should lead moral lives, and some people can't accept those laws, so instead of ignoring them (like someone would do if the person had no strong opinions on the matter), people attack them and the people who live by those laws. Perhaps in their hearts, the people who attack Jews feel guilty or envious and think that if they attack Jews, Judaism will disappear and the attackers can live without any kind of moral code.

It has nothing whatsoever to do with Jesus or Christianity. There are obviously many around the world, with beliefs in other religions or no religious beliefs at all, with similar feelings.
There is an old saying that applies here - when one or two people dislike you, it is reasonable to shrug it off and say the problem rests with them, but when a good chunk of the world despises you, it may be a good idea to take a hard look at yourself.
By the way, to those who say Jesus was a Jew, his parents were Jewish. In that regard alone, he was perhaps Jewish. However, Jesus himself flatly rejected Judaism in favor of the concepts behind Christianity. He was killed because of that.

Actually the Jews have been despised even before Jesus. And that's because God had given them His Torah. Commandments for mankind to live moral, holy life before God.
Many people don't like the rules and regulations that God instructs in His Torah. And they are jealous of the blessing the Jews receive from God that they don't get.
There's more, but these two reason tend to be the biggest.

the jews were oppressed before Jesus. The Jews are more like Survivors than any other group I know. The Assyrians and Babylonians almost destroyed them completely (like they did with other groups). Then after they tried to revolt against the romans and lost the holy forever. They also lost their standing army. And unable to defend themselves they became the scapegoats of history. Groups blamed them for working to progress in their situations. Many have tried to exterminate them for going into their lands as they were nomadic in a sense. But now they have an army and the support of the US. so the Muslims can try but the Jews are no longer to toyed with. They will fight back now. but no its not because of Jesus. Partially now its because of the holy land and the palestinians.

No it is not because of Jesus. The Jewish people are God's chosen. Jesus came for them but "they knew him not". The Jews have been hated since the begining of time. They were the only group that worshiped ONE GOD instead of many. Our roots (as Christians) are deep in the Jewish faith

It has nothing to do with Jesus, but with patterns of behaviour, social interaction within own group and towards the hosting environment, and the economics.
Jews always stick out for one another and put the interests of their own group before those of other people within the society in which they live. They insist that they are different and superior to other people within the society on which they ultimately depend.

Jesus is the main reason. They turned their backs on him, but than they felt that had valid reasons, because he did not begin Armageddon, so they felt he couldn't be the Messiah.
The thing is that Christians should not hate the Jews, anymore than any other group. They are simply another people practicing a non-Christian belief. Nothing more and nothing less.

It's usually because of envy and that's a terrible mistake for people to do that. What would it have to do with Jesus? Jesus was Jewish.

curiously enough i have recently heard the countries in the middle east keep records dating back thousands of years about who hit who and when...i suspect these battles have been going on for possibly millenniums and that perhaps no one knows exactly why or for what reason if any it was started...the logical question would be "does it really matter at this point?"...i suspect the Israelis are no different

Partly, but let us not forget that Jews were also unfairly being persecuted BEFORE Jesus was born as well. It wasn't because of Jesus himself, it was his follower's wrongful interpretation of things that made them act wrongfully!
