Some things matter; other's don't. The reason "anything" doesn't matter is because importance is a rational construct based on judgment.
In other words, there are criteria to determine whether a thing matters.
So, what matters is something. What really doesn't matter are: anything, everything and nothing.

Yes, water matters. For example if you fall in a lot of deep water it can interfere with your breathing, and cause you serious trouble. Also air matters, but then you knew that.

If it matters to you, it matters. If it matters to me, it matters. However, it doesn't have to matter to anyone else and to try to make it matter to others would be wrong.

yes things realy matter. sometimes it feels like it dosent, people dont, you dont. but in the end it does. what you realy need to do is get your friends together and go all out and party for a night or two and then look at things. since your feeling down you have to seek your friends social sopport.
