If they are very traditional, their families will often encourage them to marry Chinese too. Because I live in America, I see a lot of mixed race marriages. Here, it's more accepted because you are not bound to just seeing one race. But the families where it's a first generation American-born, the parents would like their children to marry to Chinese still because 1) keep with tradition. 2) being able to communicate with their new son or daughter in law and hopefully, grandchildren. But I also have relatives in China that are very strict with tradition and really want me to marry a Chinese man. You have to understand that it's an entirely different world over there and they aren't trying to be racist. They just live their entire lives around the same people and their view on other races is a little undeveloped. I hope I have not offended anyone with my opinions and I tried to write as non racially offending as I could. I hope I helped with your question.

the succeeding virtue toward marriage and life is different from Chinese to other culture, that's what we said culture difference could cause misunderstanding without fully understand about the other part. and for most of the Chinese, marriage is such a life time thing, and it doesn't really put love or sex as the first place as you married a guy. so that could be so different from a lot of foreign people.

i am from the u.s., a caucausian man. my wife is from china, born and raised. we are very happily married. i have friends that have married chinese women. there are differences in culture but in the end, if the husband and wife respect each other, love each other, there is no reason that any couple can't be together, no matter what race.

No it is not true. These days Chinese people respect other people's decision and privacy just like western society.

No I do not think so. I have seen plenty of Chinese in relationships and marriages to non-Chinese.

depends on the person him/herself.
the more traditional chinese tend to marry chinese too.
in the past time, they dont even allowed to marry the same chinese outside their tribe!
the chinese who is less traditional have more openminded n can accept foreigners.....it s really depends on theirselves.
