Yes. My husband is a Jehovah Witness and I am 'agnostic'. He needs his faith to keep him sane and to deal with life. Whereas I need to 'see to believe'.
There's been struggles however since we love each other, we make it work. It's about compromising; I don't put up holiday decorations so I get to take a 2 week vacation every year during Christmas!
Yes, I miss receiving gifts (birthday, Christmas etc) from him but he gives to me daily. He loves me, treats me well, is respectful, thoughtful every day. Not just when he wants something so it's a good trade off.
Good luck!

When U love a person , U never see what he is or what he has or how he is or what religion he belongs to... nothing... U accept the person as he is .... thats the power of love... Only love can make a person love one another for what they are , inspite of having so many flaws.... Love does not know religion. ALL ARE SAME WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE.. according to love , its all two hearts fused as one with understanding, care and affection...
When it comes to Religion, there are many religions which preaches all the gods are same and all are one.. but the most ironical part is that people are not broad minded enough to accept the love that happens between 2 people of different caste or religion respectively.. but they will preach that all are one and all religion are one... its all just words coming out of the mouth superficially
Religion no way plays a role in love...
Love is divine...
if u love someone go for it.. Don't ever spoil ur life and or ur beloved life... SO U LIVE AND LET UR BELOVED LIVE..
DON'T EVER SACRIFICE UR LOVE FOR A STUPID RELIGION WHICH IS WORTHLESS....

What you feel in your heart about a person is what counts. True love is something that really matters, no matter what the religion. I love someone who is of different culture and religion to me but we get on very well and love each other. I have found it is soiciety that view this as a bad thing. I dont think religion plays an important role in love, its your own feelings about a person that truly counts.

Religion is only the SKIN of the fruit
The fruit is spirituality
All relligions focus on oneness of the divine and the paths differ with rituals, idols or practices.
Love is your own nature and not an emotion.
You are love your self
Hence Love is GOD also for you are made of the substance called love. and it is GOD
Understanding spirituality makes Loving easy and simple
Religion is only a wrapper for some practices and rituals not THe fruit called Spirituality
Yes Love is important and every religion promotes love

For me it is important . My hubby and I are both Hindu and I couldn't be married to him if he were not Hindu. I met him nowing he was Hindu. Of course if I had met him and he wasn't Hindu I would av coped with it as well, as we d not chose who we fall in love with.
But I understand and respect that other people might feel totally different about this issue. Religion is important thing in my life and I want my hubby to be able to support me within my beliefs.
I'm impatient to read all other answers...

Love needs some relation. Religion finds it .Its aim is to cause better service. To illustrate we believe that God is not only in that Supreme Abode but also in each and every being and every thing. Every one is three in one. It is like outers (matter), inners (soul) your self ( God).Instead of relating with blood we relate every one through God. Then only we can render service to others as service to God. Thus religion plays the best possible role in loving others who are in no way related to us.

If the two people are strongly religious and of the same religion, it can bring them closer together. It's best to be with someone who shares your same beliefs and values.

Ultimately questions of the after-life (do u two believe in the same fate after death ...etc) , present moral issues (what is wrong, what is right)
and how your future children and family is built will be issues to grapple with.

Don't be so religious and none of this wouldnt have happen. I am not religious and i can date a guy of any religion, i wouldn't interfere with his religion and as long as he don't ask me to convert, or i'll freaking kill him lol.
