I know you are in school still It was not that long ago when I was in high school. ( I am 19). If you really like him I would suggest you just let him know. Just ask him if he would like to go for ice cream with you or to the movies or out to eat or to help you with homework or something. Talk to him let him get to know you and you should be able to tell if he likes you like that. Chances are if he likes you and he can't tell if you like him he will not ask you out. Out of fear of rejection or because of what his so called friends might say.
If he don't like you then move on cause he is not worth your time nor your tears. Stay true to your self cause there is someone out there who likes you for you. ( If you truly love a person or like them you love/like them for who they are and not what you want to change them to be like)
BTW you have NEVER offend me not even once! :-)

Talk to him.....and see where it goes

Try to find out his interests or the things that he likes....just to check if you two have any commons; which is the one of the ways.
And just be yourself----and not to be nervous since you don't know and can't read his minds or thoughts about you at all.

Well, you have to show some sort of indicator of interest. You can smile when you see him, that should somewhat get his attension, and maybe encourage him to appraoch you if he is interested.
