Which religion's heaven? If you're talking about a Catholic's heaven, what I know are: # 1. Heaven is not a place, it is a state, and # 2. "Heaven" for each soul is individualized. Meaning, there is no such thing as a homogenous "heaven." Additionally, heaven is not a place where you stroll and have a happy reunion with your loved ones, etc... Heaven is a state where you are in union with the Father, growing holier and holier by the second - growing in His likeness more and more... at the same time [simultaneously] partaking in the communion of saints. It should also be noted that Heaven can be attained NOW. It is a myth that one can only "BE" in heaven after death. Death only makes the state permanent and it is possible to attain Heaven now... in fact, if you don't get to heaven now, you won't get it after death...

You know, this is actually a good question. ;)

"What do people do in heaven every day?" Jesus was asked this question, and he said "Why do you ask me about heavenly things, when you don't understand when I tell you about Earthly things?"

That shut them up.

But think about it. What is an existence like in the presence of God? We have no way of knowing, do we?

What is an existence like without death looming ahead of us? Without pain and suffering to define us? Without worries, or fears, or jealousies or anger or rivalries or competitions....all of the things that are "of this world" and seem to define us all...?

I think such an existence sounds beautiful, but it's difficult to even begin to imagine.

Jesus promised to come again, and this world will "pass away" and there will be a "new heaven and a new Earth". There will be no more death. What will we do then? What will our lives be like?

Think about THAT...? A 25 year old is different from a 15 year old. A 40 year old is different than a 25 year old. An 80 year old geezer...you can't tell him anything! He's seen it all!

What's it going to be like to talk to a 500 year old?

And think. All those weird things about people; our intutitions, our strange group dynamics, all of those talents that we have hidden; like all of the wonderful and incredible things that top athletes and artists can do....what will we be like when we're all 150 years old, and we've been taught REAL human potential? Will we have psychic powers?

It's going to be interesting. I hope we're all there together in Jesus' New Millennium Kingdom.

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the Sun
We'll have no less days to sing His praise
Than when we've first begun.

Of course we'll also have the opportunity of learning the mysteries of the ages, exploring the solar systems, etc. And talking with all the authors of the Scriptures and hearing first-hand the Disciples' accounts of the three year ministry. And I suppose, also, preparing to reign over villages, towns, etc. in the 1000-year Peaceable Kingdom. And we'll have the privilege of renewing acquaintances with friends and relatives who we've loved long since and lost a while.

I have not been there so I do not know.
but I do know what I want to do when i get there,
first I want to take to Jesus and ask him a couple of hundred question, I am sure he will have the answers that no one else has.
then i want to spend time visiting with my family that is already.
I have a lot of friends there that I also would like to see and visit with.
I would love to go fishing in the Cristal river, and see if there are any Cristal fish in there.
then i would like to meet the people that i have never met but really admire.
I am not sure that i will have time to do all the things that I really want to. but i sure want to try.

According to my first husband, rafting down the river of life is quite popular. I have no idea how he came by this knowledge but it sounds as good a theory as any expert could come up with.

Nothing. People don't go to heaven, their spirits do. Then they rest in the presence and Glory of God.

'they' don't 'do' anything. Total, unexplainable, utter communion with God. Who's everything. Heaven's the icing on top for anybody who goes for religion in this life. The justification (as though we need one) for being loving, civilised human beings.

I think they re-live the best moment of their lives, everyday. You know that moment you noticed how blue the sky could be, your first real kiss, that prefect snowflake, etc. That what I hope it is like anyway.
