Does this need to be surgically corrected, or can you live with it?

I do. My little toe is so curly that I have to stretch it out everyday.I got it because I kept banging my foot into things in the house when I was little. I'm thinking of having a surgery but I don't know if it helps with the walking better.

I have had two curly toes since I was born and I have regular cramps and discomfort walking . I would recommend toe spacers or toe straighteners if you are having any discomfort but if this doesnt work your other option is to have surgery😫 hope this information is useful 😁

It really depends on the individual. If it isn't causing you any discomfort, you should be fine.
