=RANK(B4,$B4:$B$7) but this only give me #1 and #2
out of the 10 people

It looks like you are on the right track with the formula, so you are probably close to having it correct. I can't duplicate your results exactly with the information you provided, but I have a few ideas. Here are some things to try:

1. It looks like your range of cells is too small. B4:B7 only has 4 cells in it, not 10. If you actually have 10 people, with the range starting in B4, it should be B4:B13.

2. You may have simply mistyped the formula when you wrote it here, but you don't have your absolute values set consistently. You have $B4, but $B$7. Notice that there are two dollar signs in $B$7 but only one in $B4. Try adding a second dollar sign to $B$4 so that it always starts from the top of the range when you copy the formula.

3. Be sure that the formula is copied into all 10 rows for your sales.
