If you have had an experience with a veterinarian that seems suspicious to you, get a second opinion from another vet. I hope your pet is ok. I had a friend who's vet was giving her dog a "medication" that was keeping him sick so she would keep bringing the dog back to him. She loved going to this vet because everybody made her (she's elderly and lives alone) feel special. Her niece got her away from that vet and the dog recovered and is healthy and lively now. It is disgusting that there are "professionals out there who do that sort of thing, either intentionally (as in my friend's case) or because they are inept.

If you have a case of malpractice report it to your state's veterinary board and check with a local lawyer as to whether you sue the vet.
