You lose track of time when you sleep.
Also, dreaming is like a soap opera. Have you ever noticed that in these shows adults seem to get younger or stay the same age and young people grow up practically overnight? I think when we dream, we sort of create a soap opera that fits our particular needs -- and if controlling time is part of all of that, then so be it.

I don't know, but it's weird. They say you really just have a couple of minutes of dreaming during the whole night.

b/c when you are asleep you have no concept of time. usually this is why i wake up and want "5 more minutes" of sleep, it relates to way longer in the sleeping world than if you were awake.
