There are 2 classifications to fit a dog (or any animal) in. The first is one with a loving responsible owner. The second is one with a owner that is an idiot, and shouldn't own a fish.

I just happen to have a rot and a dalmation, both of which are on the dangerous dog list, it isn't the dog, it is the owner. If you raise it to be mean, it will be. Naturally rotts can be aggressive but that is what training is used to correct. My brother has a rot that I wouldn't turn my back on but mine is one who might lick a person to death, the point being, it goes to how they were raised.

ANY breed of dog can turn. It's all in the upbringing and discipline.

I've raised pit bulls....never had a problem.
My fiance had a rott...and he loved her...she was great!

I think if you invest the time and training into showing them who is the master...it'll work out great.

It's unfair to hand-pick breed specific like they do...I totally disagree with it.

I absolutely love rotts! i use to have one and she was the sweetest dog ever! people are always freaked out, but really, they have the hearts of an angel, and people have just got to understand this. The fact that they love us and we should all love them back because they are the cool!

no, but the owners (or future dog owners )from all large breeds should do a test .Like a driving liscense ...to proof their knowledge about dogs and how to train them proper.

Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was attacked by my neighbors dog while i was walking my dog, snickers.

He came charging out of his garage [without a leash!!!] and started fighting Snickers. !!!!! It scared the beep out of me!!!!

Rotts usually attatch to their family and that's pretty much it.

Nothing against them...just my personal opinion.
