2 cups = 1lb = 450 grams (for butter margarine or other fats)

4 cups = 1lb = 450 grams (for flour)

1 oz = 1/4 cup = 28 grams (for flour)

1 oz = 2 tbsp (for sugar)

1 tsp = 5ml

1 tbsp = 15ml = 3tsp

Hopefully you can figure it out from there. Good luck.

The recipe you link to specifies the ingredients by volume measurement as do 99.999% of the cooking recipes worldwide (i.e.-cups, liters, tsps, Tbsp, etc.) Foodstuffs like flour and sugar are measured by volume, not by weight as that is the easiest and most accurate method without having to have an especially accurate scale with a very wide range. (Picture the problems surrounding the measurement of 10 quarts of water and a 1/4 tsp. of Cayenne Pepper with the same scale.)

Your recipe can be converted to gram weight equivalents but you would first have to specify the exact flour you were going to use, the fineness of the milling, whether it had been sifted, the amount of settling in the container, the relative humidity at the time of measurement, etc. and similar specifics for the other ingredients.

Just make the cookies as specified and send me a sample!

I know the spoons are different over there than the US. So you can't compare teaspoons and regular tablespoons. If your near a military base, don't they have cups and spoons at the px?

It might be easier to ship you measuring cup and spoons to you than converting everything.

Heck, I'll send it to you.

Teaspoon is the smallest spoon which use for making teas, coffee....etc.
Tablespoon is the spoon which you use during your meal;well, maybe a little difference on the size and the amount--but they are the same.

Order measuring cups and spoons on line. I don't think you will get very far with the conversions you are asking for. Have you asked anyone there in Tokyo how they measure for their cooking and baking?
