Contrary to popular belief.
They can take your roof off, and walls down.
BTW: If they did this...It was a Felony Charge. They already had a Warrant. They don't just go around beating doors down. I see you didn't mention the charge. You didn't mention why they did it. I, already know why.
You would be far far far better off too replace th door and learn a lesson.
Life can be made unbearable, my friend. trust me.

If the FBI breaks your doors down, they probably have some powerful motive backed with a powerful search warrant, I mean if it gets to the point where they make entry not knowing if you are home waiting with firearms, they probably have a warrant detailed enough to where they can cut your mattress right down the middle or tear through your walls with sledge hammers in order to conduct search. However, if they don't find anything, and it turns out that you weren't their suspect and that they had your address on the sting for one reason or other, the govt. will probably reimburse you generously for your troubles, (in an effort to get you to avoid a gigantic law suit and of course before the media gets a hold of it....imagine) Anyway, it's happened, but it doesn't happen often enough for you to have to worry about it, unless you're hiding drugs or firearms in your home.

Yes they do, when they break in as a result of faulty intelligence. There are many horror stories of law enforcement bungles, where they even killed innocent people by mistake, because of unreliable intelligence gathered before the raid. The police are subject to prosecution just like everyone else, if it can be priven that they botched up.

If they asked you to come out and refused youu will have to pay but if they executed a search warrant with "kick and enter" they will pay. Usually the fines you will get from the charges will cover fixing the door.

I dout that they would pay for a broken door.
If they brake your door down they are not going to worry about the door becoase they are more than likely tring to find you or some one they think is there with you.

Not even the local cops have to pay for the damage done to your property during a bust or search!

If they suspect u of something don't have to pay a blasted thing...but then again if they didn't find what they were looking for I would think that they would have to pay
