Well, if you don't want to tell them in an outright way (ie. Mom, Dad, I'm seeing someone), then you can go about it in a roundabout way.

Whenever you guys go out, tell them that you're going out with her. For example, say "Mom, Dad, I'm going to the movies with Sally." (lol yes the fake name is Sally). They'd be like, "okay". And if everytime you guys go out, you mention that you're going to be with Sally, then your parents will either get it, or they'll ask if Sally is your girlfriend, at which time you say yes.

It'll work, parents are all curious like that ;).

Say "I think I met a really great girl." Then they'll smile and ask you about her. Don't go too crazy, because that scares parents. It sounds like you've joined a cult when all you can say is perfect and flawless someone is.
At the same time, be aware of things about her that will make your parents cringe. Tattoos? Kids? Ex-husbands? If you teo get serious, there will be time enough to tell them about such things.
It's funny, but I think that smoking is more of turn-off for parents than any of the examples I already mentioned. Weird, no?

If you have a decent relationship with your parents, it shouldn't be a big deal, but I understand the confusion about how to broach the topic.

There are ways to bring it up very gently. Maybe say something like, "I was hanging out with Jane the other day and she said/did [something]. What do you think of that?" And they'll be like, "Who's Jane?" And then you can be like, "Oh, I met her in [place] and we've been going out for [time]. She's really [adjective]." Then go from there.

Of course, if her name isn't Jane you'll want to use what her name really is, otherwise it would just be confusion for all parties involved.

Why would this be a problem? If you are a young teen just don't make a big deal out of it. After all while teen love seems like the biggest event in world history it tends to be passing. If you are older than your teens there really should not be any problem at all. Just tell them and at some time introduce them.

Don't do what I did. Make sure the girl wants your parents to know. In my case, I thought Manny was "ready" to be in a relationship. My family threw a fit and Manny was still undecided. I ended up looking stupid.

Well I would reccommed that you just tell them that there is a someone speical and are dating her. Then offer to inturduce her too them and that might help. Or you could introduce her to them first and let them get to know her and then tell them you are dating her.

aparently you still live with them...ok...here´s my advice...wait till they go grocery shopping....then invite your cute little hunny bunny over... chat for awhile...then start making out...i mean really get into it...groping is ok too....this´ll be just about the time your parents get home... you will be spared from having to tell them when they see you two almost going at it on the couch
