Golden rule.

(If you accidentally dropped money, what would you want the person behind you to do?)

Once I saw a guy drop about $500 in a parking lot, I picked it up and put it in my pocket, I followed the guy into an appliance store, I found him and said "hey ya dropped this", the guy turned white, he said "Oh man, my wife and i saved for weeks, we need a new refridgerator", he wanted to give me some money but, of course I refused. Whats "COOLER" than that, helping someone avoid a really bad day ! it will come back to me 100 times in the form of good luck !

I have done this MANY times. I yell for the person who dropped it while picking it up, then I catch up with them & hand it to them.

I use to waitress at a little cafe many MANY years ago... one guy left a $20 tip..well that doesn't happen in a small cafe, in a samll town... I ran after him to return it but he said he never left it. Well I guess I tried!

I have always been told I am TOO honest.... what a stupid comment !! I believe everyone SHOULD be honest. If they would just attempt it they sure would have a better life!

If I saw who dropped it, I'd give it back. If I didn't see, then I'd keep it.

If they don't know they drop it, pick it up and give it back to them. If they know they drop it, leave it, let them pick it up.

I would pick up the money and catch up with the person and give it back, it might be all the money they have.

I always give it back. People have always given it back to me. The world really is a pretty nice place, but there are a few exceptions. It's up to us to make it nice.

I'm with the "give it back" crowd.

No amount of money is worth more than personal integrity.

Give it back, that may be the last dollar they have. Besides, you do not have to go thru remorse for such a **** act when you get older and your wisdom kicks in.

I'd give it back to them. You never know what someone else's financial situation is. Besides that, it's the right thing to do.

if I saw someone actually drop the money I would pick it up and yell, "HEY STUPID, YOU DROPPED YOUR MOOLAH!!!" and try to give it back to them (if they didn't beat me up first.) :-)

If I just found money on the street and it wasn't too much, then I'd probably keep it
