Almost all important doctrine is completely agreed upon between Catholic Christians and other Christians.

Here is the joint declaration of justification by Catholics (1999), Lutherans (1999), and Methodists (2006):

By grace alone, in faith in Christ's saving work and not because of any merit on our part, we are accepted by God and receive the Holy Spirit, who renews our hearts while equipping us and calling us to good works.

There are many minor doctrine issues and some major cultural traditional differences which, I believe, do not matter that much.

A Catholic worships and follows Christ in the tradition of Catholicism which, among other things, recognizes that Christ made Peter the leader of His new Church and Pope Benedict XVI is Peter's direct successor.

With love in Christ.

Protestant christians believe that faith alone in Jesus christ can save you.

Catholics believe that faith AND works AND doing what the church says AND going to church every sunday, saves you.

Catholics pray the rosary, have a pope, have mass, have more emphasis on mary, they also have nuns and monks.

Protestants do not pray the rosary, they do not have a pope, there are no nuns or monks, they have church every sunday but not communion all the time.

I think catholicism is more religious than protestant.

There's probably more but that's some of it.

The word Protestant came from the protestors against the Catholic Church hundreds of years ago. Every religion claims to be God's true religion and what does God say? Nothing. You will never find any religious writing that says, "And God said my favorite religion is....." The big difference is , who gets your collection money.

Catholic Christians believe all that God has revealed about himself directly, through his scripture, and through his church, and they act accordingly.

Protestant Christians accept only a limited subset of Catholic beliefs, add some more of their own, and act accordingly.
