i think the ex-realizes what he had is gone and has come to the conclusion that it is you he thinks of all the time and misses what he had with you.
forget the other guy-you only hooked up with him once? and he misses you a ton? sounds like infatuation to me. to top it off,you don't even like him so why would you think it could potentially more?

usually depends on how they say "i miss you" if he says it in a serious way with a serious look or if he says it slow then its more than frienship if he says too fast tries to hug you and is just all smiley then i think its just friendship.
