She will be a year old on october 22,2006. We have had her since she was 7 weeks old and she doesn't want to listen to me. I want her to know that i am the Boss- The Pack Leader- and to obey me and my family.

It's definately not too late to train your dog.

Everytime she tried to jump onto someone move away and turn your back to her. You must be consistent otherwise she won't get the message, however if you continue to turn your back to her then she should soon enough get the idea that it's not good. Also when your turning away, don't say no or anything, just turn and ignore her and wait until she calms down and then you can turn back towards her.

For staying out of the kitchen, you should teach her how to stay. you can start teaching her out in the backyard or something, start with short distances and tell her to stay with an obvious hand movement, always tell her she's a good dog and give a treat when she does it right. After a while she'll understand stay, and when you tell her to stay when you enter the kitchen, she'll stay out.

With the biting situation, i'm not really sure, but there are special sprays that are made more non-biting situations, so you might want to look into that.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUMJJ

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/H6FOU

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

Hello Mitsy

Your only option and the best option is more Obedience Training.

Check out this article for some tips to stop her jumping up on people - http://www.dog-obedience-training-review.com/jumping-up.html

That's a big breed - you need to have her respect and voice control.

Best of luck - they're a great dog.

If you haven't attended a good dog traning course you shouldn't complain. You have to learn to understand better your dog, the causes of its bad behaviours and some good techniques to use to get rid of any issue you have with your furry friend.

A good site with a good dog training course is http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=572. I think it's the best dog training course available on the net.
Have a nice day

when your dog jumps up, bend your knee and hit her in the chest with it and say off. immediately praise your dog. repeat as often as necessary till broke from jumping on you. biting:put your middle finger in back of your thumb and flick your finger on her nose and say no bite and praise immediately. treats are always a good reward for exceptionally good behavior. keeping dogs out of the kitchen: we've always used baby gates with the release on the side you are protecting. be very firm with your commands. lower your voice and shout if you have to.

when she jumps on you, turn your back to her. This is what dog trainers recommend. Do NOT kick or "knee" your dog as hard as you can. That is animal cruelty and only makes the dog afraid of you. Plus, you risk physicaly harming the dog. As far as biting...it depends. What type of biting is it? Play biting? If she is play biting, tell her "no biting" or say "owww" somewhat loudly when she bites you, and then ignore her completely for several minutes. Don't talk to her and don't look at her either. If she is being aggressive, i would consult a vet and trainer. Good Luck.

I'd suggest an obedience class with a good trainer. That way, your dog'll learn basic commands and learn how to be around and be social with other dogs.
