I got involved with this guy who I really don't want to see anymore. I am so weirded out by him that I can't be friends with him either.

Okay. Do exactly what I say and it will be easy. Tell him the following: "This is hard for me to say, and I really hope I won't hurt your feelings, that's the last thing I want to do. I have some issues in my life I can't talk to anyone about right now, but I need to have time to just be on my own without a boyfirend. I'm sorry but I can't see you anymore." If he says, well we will still be friends say, "I can never be friends with anyone I once cared about because it just doesn't work for me, too many memories, and all that. So this has to be a final goodbye and I truly hope there will be no hard feelings." If he threatens or begs you to stay with him just keep repeating "I'm sorry, move on with your life, there is the right one for you out there, I'm not her." Do this in a fairly public place like a restaurant so he can't make a scene.
Have your own transportation to go home from there. Never take a phone call or have any contact whatsoever after the break-up so if you have any of his stuff take it with you when you do the breaking up and give it back to him. Good Luck. PS If he weirds you out too much, make sure you have a friend waiting behind the scenes to make sure you will be safe afterwards.

Tell him most of the truth, or make a lame excuse for breaking with him. But be gentle. You never know with weird guys.

Make up an excuse everytime he wants to hang out. If not just ignore him. If you do that enough, hopefully he'll take the hint. If not, just tell him straight up, over the phone.

tell him that you aren't a good fit and then tell him you see no need to see each other anymore. if he says " friends" tell him you are happy with the friends you have

try to move out of this gently like weaning away your intrest away from him, not showing affection. then after sometime tell him that you don't wanna spend time with him but be polite while doin so.
