nothing is impossible..i can actually lick my elbow. Was in a motorcycle wreck, got some flexibility in my left arm/shoulder. Anyways, generally the shoulder pivot point is at such an angle that the elbow can not be pivoted close enough to the face. At the same time , pivoting the elbow in that direction inhibits movement of the neck..

I don't know why, but it just is, thankfully, impossible. I am not sure why anyone would want to lick their elbow.
