it depends on how you define what is "antisocial." many people mistake the word "antisocial" with the idea that a person just doesn't want to talk or interactwith others very much, but antisocialism goes much deeper than that!

antisocial is really very different than simply wanting to be alone. antisocial people cannot relate to the feelings of others, or anything human, and they are your serial killers, etc.

i love having time alone. i *need* to have alone time. if i don't get it in somehow, i have no way to unwind and recharge for the week to come.

have you heard of "intrapersonal communication?" this is the communication, the inner-dialogue that ALL PEOPLE have. our thoughts, conversations we run through our minds, thinking about what's for dinner...these are all examples of intrApersonal communication. perhaps you need the quiet time to engage in some intrapersonal communication. this is a very healthy thing.

some people are just loners. i have friends, but i am still a loner at heart....and i need the intrapersonal dialogue or i wouldn't be able to work through problems to find solutions. if you are a loner, it's nothing to feel bad about.
it sounds as if you're being overstimulated. that is the fastest way to turn a person into a loner. i have three children by myself. different situations that both bring on the need to BE ALONE!!!!
~LOL
good luck!

NO, I'm like that a lot, and I get really annoyed if I need to be alone and for some reason no one will let me. I don't tell anyone I need to be alone though, I'm pretty good at keeping that smile on my face and talking and laughing when I just want to get away from it all. Sometimes I just need to be alone with my thoughts and need a break. It's hard to be interacting with people all day and not have sometime to myself.
