a good thing that iv'e always heard about is to portion your food! for example for if you're having spaghetti for dinner/lunch only take a handful. and if you are having a piece of meat along side with it the meat should only be the size of your straight palm. that is how I always heard on television on over the net to portion your fool. Also eat some small snacks in between meals like a granola bar. an apple and some cheese. When you dont eat snacks you get hunger in between meals causing yout o eat more, and over eating and eating more unnecessary calories.
Start to eat healthier too, still eat chips and cookies if you want but eat it in MODERATION. liek a small handful once in a while. stay away from fastfood. I would suggest saving up some money going to the store and buying healthy foods for yourself every week. or ask your parents too. like fruits veggies, meats. ect. If you dont buy the chips and the cookies then you wont be tempted to eat them! so you might as well not buy them. or if your parents/roomates buy them tell them to put them someplace where you cant find/see them, so you wont be tempted to eat it. Im 19, 5'6" weight around 130 lbs and i have lost a few pounds by eating portions and healtier.
Im a sucker for junk food! my mom fills up our cookie jar with pepermint chocolate cookies and its hard to stay away from them when their staring at you in the face. lol
When i get a sweet tooth i just eat some chocolate chips and that satisfies me
plus since you say you dont have time to work out then wake up a half hour or possibly an hour every morning and just go jogging or taking a brisk walk or whatever you like to do. Swimming i would say is the best. it hardly has an impact on the body. my bf is the same as you except he weights around 230, same height but he's 18. So you not HUGE or anythign so dont be self consicous in a swimsuit or anythign. he just took up swimming again and is already seeing results. But swimming works out your WHOLE BODY ! =) when i was on the swim team in high school I lost 13 pounds in 4 months, which is hard for someone to do when they are already around their ideal weight. It is true that once you start to get thinner it will be harder to lookse weight but dont be discouraged!

there is a very helpful webpage you can try out to see how many calories you can burn.
so what you are eating is not necessarily a diet. its eating what you want in portions, just in moderation. have contorl of what you put into your mouth.
goodluck
stay motivated!
you can do it! =)

The main thing is DO NOT listen to those commercials that tell you that you can lose weight by doing absolutely nothing and eat all you want. They have a 30 day trial to see if you like it, but if you wait longer than 30 days YOU CAN'T SEND IT BACK. There is NO possible way, no matter WHAT you do, to lose significant weight withing 30 days!!!!!!!!.........................The key to losing weight is to eat foods that do not have alot of fat. Eat food that is close to its "natural" form (Vegetables, fruits, meats etc.) It is not bad to add some carbs (breads, pasta etc). Alot of people say carbs are bad but you need a few to keep your energy level up. Also, eat 3 square meals a day. As bad as you would hate to do it, lay off of the soda pops and chips if you eat them. chips are LOADED with fat and soda has caffeine, which puts your body under stress and stress causes you to gain weight................Exercise properly. You do not have to get into weights or anything, but you can start a running program........Run 3-5 days a week for atleast 20 minutes at a jogging pace. You do not have to "kill" yourself at first, but make sure your heart rate is elevated enough that you can "feel" the workout.........After about 3 weeks of running, you need to try to run for longer periods of time. Running will burn fat from your body. Also, it is very important to drink a lot of ice-cold water a day. Make sure its ICE cold. drink atleast 8 glasses per day. Drinking ice cold-water will carry fat cells out of your body while you are running......The last thing is to have discipline and stick with it. You cannot do any of these if you don't discipline yourself every day to do these things.....................................If you go by what i told you, i PROMISE you will see results within 6 weeks. There are no other ways to accomplish losing weight than by the guide i showed you.......Well good luck and i hope i have helped...............btw, your weight should be around 170-185 if you're a male......140-165 if your a female is ideal weight.

If you can follow a diet plan, try the South Beach Diet, I am 5ft 3in and weigh 110lbs right now. I was up to 170 at one point. I was in Iraqi for 8 mos, and gained alot of weight from the MRE'S. I lost 15 lbs the first 2 weeks on that diet. You can buy all the books at Wal-Mart, there is a blue book (the tickest of them all) that is the one that tells you how to eat, what to eat, what to expect, it's only like $5 (paperback) they also have a dining out guide, a quick reference guide, and even a South Beach Cookbook! All the food on the diet are GREAT!!! On of my favorites (sounds gross but I promise it is really good) get 1/2 cup lowfat ricotta cheese, vanilla extract (or any other extract) put enough to the flavor that you want, and 2 packets of splenda. Mix it up and put it in the freezer while you are eatting dinner, it tastes just like homemande ice cream.!!! Check out this website it will help you with you BMI, and you idealweight. www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/index.htm

5' 11" I would say 180 - 190...
My brother is 6' around 210 - 215 it fluctuates during the winter months. He Carry's it well & he doesn't look like he is over weight.
I know how difficult it is to lose weight & keep it off, I have dealt with this myself, most of my life. With a husband & three kids it is not easy to find time to do much for myself in the way of working out. My workouts consist of working with horses, doing chores, running kids here, picking them up there, etc. etc.
The best advice I can give you if watch what you eat, do a lot of walking.
See if this helps..... Good Luck!!!!
Your desired weight:__________x 15 = __________
the answer is your maximum DAILY calories....
Now, take your maximum daily calories & divide that by 8.....
This will give you your total maximum of CARBS per day.(grams)
try to stay within these numbers & get at least moderate amounts of exercise everyday......

Its a struggle, and you must be persistant to reach your goal. I recommend that you continue to work out and lose weight during the summer, and during the rest of the year you must eat less. From everyone whom I have talked to the only thing that works for EVERYONE is to eat less. So just eat your normal meals but eat them slower and dont stuff yourself anymore, waste it, eat 3/4 or less of every plate you are served and if you eat it slow It will still fill you up. Weight loss takes time, but if you have lost weight before then you have the drive, just now you need to have persistance as well, dont give up and good luck.

You are going to have to start working out in the morning.
I know a guy who wakes up at 4 am to be able to work out for an hour before he starts work.
If you gotta do it, you gotta do it. Ask your parents to support you. Give you bus fare, or a ride.
I know how you feel. The one thing I have to do to lose or maintain weight is exercise. Everything else is fine about me. But I need that activity! I can get it in the afternoon though. You are busy, but that will only impact your weight loss positively.
Good Luck, and know that you can do it!

you have to exercise for atleast a half an hour a day (an hours is better) with an exercise the will get you gross and sweaty because sweat is like the fat dripping off you
if you are a guy then losing 50lbs sounds about right
if you area girl then it would probably be more near 80 lbs you would want to lose
its very possible but will take about 6 months if not working your hardest
