Not entirely stupid. I knew a woman who devoted her life to a religion that believes that the Earth is hollow, that there is a sun in the center of the Earth, that humans misbehaved and were kicked out of a hole onto the surface, and that rabbits are evil.
So no, dragon concepts exist in all cultures pretty much, and have for a long time.
Just don't disrespect the bunnies & I'll be cool with it...

No more stupid than any other religion.
Like any other religion, the object of your unique one is a myth -- not real, a figment of someone's imagination, rumors of whose existence have persevered down through the years because people are ignorant and fearful.
So what the heck -- if you want to worship dragons, it's just as valid as worshipping god. Whatever floats yer boat :)

What have you done today to make the world a better place?
Today, churches all over the world have fed the hungry, helped provide for the poor, helped people overcome addictions, help build house, helped shelter the homeless, etc.

Ask the Celtics they worshiped dragons as very wise creatures. And older than mankind. Draco is their astrological sign and maybe their home world or Heaven.

koskani e,
Just to clue you in, look at the author and it's sources. Are there any verifiable PH D's, or any qualifications as to the scholarship of the writer? Or does it say; 'Fiction' on the outside of the book's binder?

you and your religions are still in homosapien period and still earlier say dragon period.
You have to travel a long way (10000 yrs atleast) to learn a better language(spelling) and better creatures

if you want to worship dragons, move to any area where monitor lizards roam free. they can get quite large and are known to eat people. no such religion, but "stupid" does sound about right.
