Is it just me that I'm noticing the tension that's between the Christians against non-believers and other spiritual groups against the Christians for being so hateful? How can Christians be so hateful and negative about other people's beliefs?

It seems like the Christians are picking fights with other people minding their own business; and now (as a spiritual non-Christian person) I am starting to really DIS-like them whereas before I had no opinion either way. I'm starting to get riled up and resentful of them. Is this just me?

Are we all about to throw-down? It's getting kind of tense.

Hmmm... I think it's unfortunate that people have made you feel that way.
I'm a Christian, and I don't believe in being hateful. I try to respect everyone regardless of their spiritual beliefs. I do give my honest opinions, since my faith in God is such a part of my life. But everyone's opinions deserve respect, if they are presented in a respectful manner.

Well I guess the question is this. To what extend can we be allowed to be different from each other based on our religious beliefs? Or any beliefs for that matter of fact. When do we draw the line on how we act? Do we have universal values and rights to hold on to? To guide us along? What if walking in the nude was more acceptable than walking about fully veiled? How do we know the difference between what is a cult or a religion?

Perhaps the best we can do is to show respect for each other's beliefs by not showing our disbelief in their faith, and by honouring their choices by not being sceptical about their lifestyles, except when their lifestyles impose on others.

To do so, we need to constantly update ourselves to understand each other's religion better, so that we do not reject their practices even if we have beliefs that do not accept their practices.

Not accepting another's beliefs doesn't mean that we must reject them!

We have to live in harmony. We must, for we cannot judge others based on what we believe in.

this is unusual. in the previous situations while Islam replaced into commencing, Christians and Muslims worked mutually. in actuality, Christians helped Muslims unfold their word. The early Muslims that traveled with the prophet have been being hunted down by using worshipers of statues(I forget what their faith replaced into referred to as). They went to a church as a shelter and spoke with a clergyman. They informed the priest approximately Islam, concept in a million God, Jesus, Moses, Adam and Eve. So the Priest desperate to help them and safeguard them. for hundreds of years, Muslims and Christians have been buddies. yet i think of all of that replaced because of the fact of Israel and the Jews. while the U.S. helped them get their own land in the middle east and named it Israel, the U.S.(ordinarily Christians) grew to become enemies of the middle East (ordinarily Muslims) and that's how the detest started. yet anyhow, based on the countries that have the main weapons and finest military's. And based on the reality that those countries exceeded off to have ordinarily Christians, i think of Christians could win the conflict. Muslims, because of the fact the 2nd best religious group in the international, may be the subsequent finest in the conflict.

You are so right. Everytime I try to say what I believe to a Christian they get offended and start going on about how what they believe is right and what I believe is wrong. Every Christian I've meet I personally can't stand and really tend to dislike but that doesn't mean all Christians are like that. I just get sick of Christians telling me I'm wrong. VERY ANNOYING!

Just for the record: MY fight (as an unbeliever) is not against Christians. It's against Christianity. It's NOT the same. I respect most Christians, and those I don't respect, it's not BECAUSE they are Christians, but because they are bad people, regardless of their religion. And my feelings for those are the same as my feelings for bad people who happen to be atheists, Jewish or Mormons.
