If the devil is responsible for fossils:
paleontologists and geologists are the devil's advocates?
Teachers who show you fossils are evil?
Excellent transitive.

I dont think it is a trick of the devil at all- those fossils are there , they are evidence of something that was there at one time - what I have a problem with is that though the fossils are evidence of life, there is NO evidence that says these things were walking the earth millions of years ago- the science behind that is faulty and the scientists know that, but rather than admit they don't know, they only think based on limited evidence and understanding- they tout what they believe as fact- it is just not so
The actual findings do not contradict the Bible in any way- as a matter of fact, much of it confirms it- it is what is being said about what is found that is not fact that contradicts it- the only contradictory thing is peoples faulty ideas and opinions- not the facts!

Devil schmevil. All the evils on this planet are attributable to human beings. How convenient to blame a fictional entity. No, Virginia, fossils exist, and neither the Martians or the devil put them there. Just common sense. I can't prove it, but, really, those same rascally scientists that tell you that fossils are real also gave you the color TV set. Funny how nobody questions the science and technology behind that incredible result of scientific theory.

The world is very very old. God intended for man not to be able to know certain things. When in Genesis It says God CREATED The Heavens and the Earth in 6 days, what scientist refuse to take into account, is that to God a day was like a thousand years. So there was plenty of time for dinosaurs to roam the Earth. Oh my gosh, I'm a Christian and I just admitted Dino was real. Yes, Dinosaurs roamed the Earth, but that still does not mean we evolved from monkeys. Science is also finding things in the Bible are true, and the Bible is also Historically accurate in several events from history. The devil does try to deceive us, but not in major things like that, he tries on a one on one basis. I hope this helps explains a little.

fred,
Remember, I say it's the work of the devil. I believe that's undisputable with Bible scholars, that Jesus, when He come to destroy the works of the devil, that sickness is directly the work of the devil. And a proclamation rising up now to stop all interdenominations and consolidate to a one, great, big Evangelical church of the Protestants, which will cooperate and join with Catholicism to combat Communism. That's the work of the devil. They're so organized so tight, that they do not understand it, because it's not in their organization. It's the devil at work. They were trying to cast a shadow upon God to get the people to disbelieve Him. It's that kind of a birth? That's the work of the devil. And when those Jews, who thought and professed that they knowed God, and then seen the very Word of God made manifest, and still call it the work of the devil. Don't you know there was false Jesuses rose up before the real Christ came? That's a work of the devil, trying to copy the work of God.

Overly generous -- the biblical story of creation is most certainly NOT a theory, it's a creation myth just like many other such creation myths from other cultures.
I've actually had christians tell me that *god himself* planted dinosaur fossils in the ground to throw off unbelievers. These folks actually believe their god, who supposedly preaches love, peace, and saving everyone, would intentionally put false evidence on the earth to make people not believe in him. They think that only the "truly faithful" will ignore the false evidence and still believe the bible creation story. That's certainly not the kind of "supreme being" that I'd want to have anything to do with...:(

The devote Christians might think so . But the Jewish Torah from which their OLD TESTAMENT comes from tells of Giant beasts roaming the Earth in Genesis.
It still comes down to how long did the first six days really last.
And when did they start counting the time from.with out leaving out those first "six days".
Many religions and dynasties started from the first day of the founding of such.for the Jews this is the year 5000+

Yea so the bible states that in the beginning there was man... and on days following that God made animals and the such... But who's to say that man was on earth when he was created? I think God made beings in his likeness so that he could experience life through us... but that the very first beings were actually angels not inhabiting the earth. That would explain fossils way before human existence.

I believe these things are only contrary to the bible because scientists are picking them up, dusting them off, and making claims about them that are not necessarily accurate!
