sometimes jus that ,, thinking someone is sweet doesnt really mean they like or love you,, they just have a nice opinion of you...or they could like you romantically but are too shy to say anything

I think that typical it can mean two things. Number one he's not interested in dating but does like the gal. The other is sometimes a way to say "I like you but I'm not attracted to you".
