Ads and the fashion industry have a symbiotic relationship. The fashion industry has to convince the public that what it says is going to, in fact, be 'the' thing to wear this season. And the way to do that is by advertising. The advertising industry loves this, and helps create beautiful ads to promote whatever the fashion industry is selling. That way everyone makes a profit, except the people who have to pay for the new and exciting 'looks' that come out each season.
