i want to do something with kids.. some one that helps them. childhood is the most important time in your life because it bulids who you are later in life. i want to give kids the love some kids don't get at home. The only thing i can thnk of is teacher, but i can't live on those low wages. if theres one thing i want to buy when i grow up is a house for my mom. i can't work with needles and stuff. HELP.

One of the most ridiculous urban myths is that public school teachers are underpaid. In most districts the pay is for working 180 days a year. They have great vacations, just like the kids do. It's not a bad deal at all. There are great benefits. If I knew your state, I would find information for you on the salaries of teachers there. You should think about it.

Down sides of teaching are over crowded class rooms, being required to teach to the lowest common denominator, and not having enough money in school budgets to pay for the costs of school projects and supplies - many teachers pay for these out of their own pocket. So the salary they get needs to be spread out from nine months to 12 months and reduced by the amount they spend out of their own pocket for student supplies.

Why not go into school counseling or become a child psychiatrist or a pediatrician?

A pediatrition. You could become a counselor for high schools. They get paid around 50,000-60,000.
