Why the questions? Just curious? OK, fair enough.
Circumcision was ( and is) a Jewish custom called for in the Torah. Until the 20th century, most non-Jewish men were uncircumcised.
In mid 20th century, it was determined that circumcision helped to prevent some diseases of the penis; it was easier to keep clean.
But not all parents either wanted this, or could not afford the small cost. So it is that most men of the late 20th century are circumcised, but many are not.
I Found that not being circumcised caused the head to be super-sensitive . Perhaps it was a personal thing, but it was not a good thing. The extra sensitivity caused premature ejaculation.

Depends on a parents choice. I REALLY REALLY did NOT want my son circumcised because I found out it's not medically neccesary and I didn't want my little guy to have to go through that on his second day of life... but the docs and nurses pressured me into and I was so tired of fighting I agreed. It turned out ok though.

well some people don't cause they do not believe in circumcision because of religion or what ever the reason is. I do believe in it, it is more sanitary for the boy to be circumcised for many reasons. one big reason that i know is that your pee has sugars in it and if by any chance the boy is not circumcised and becomes diabetic later in life they have a lot of problems such as rash redness swelling smell and other things even though they do keep it as clean as they can. so it is a good idea

The act of circumcising performed on males eight days after birth as a Jewish and Muslim religious rite.

Old custom, but arguments for cleanliness.

Depends on the parent's choice. I don't think a lot of men get circumcized as adults.

Me being a female and all, I left the decision up to my husband. I couldn't make a decision one way or the other, but hubby said (and my research backed him up) that it's easier to keep clean, it is less sensitive to irritation and sexual stimulation, and it is so cmmon that if he didn't get it done he'd look too different from other boys. The decision was not religious at all, but hygenic and psychosocial.
