to lose weight but can not!!!

( But,, can u admit that you didn't lose the weight because of a couple of slip ups a day?"
I want to lose 30 lbs..but I always eat something that messes my whole day up!
Why can't we just say NO??
Are thin people thin due to what they eat or just lucky?

I could write a book on diets.. but I do not drink the water.. I buy it, and let it sit in the fridge@ ! I buy the veggies, and let them rot! WHY?

As an RN...Many ppl thin, or over weight, are due to geneics!!!

Stress is the #1 cause of weight gain!!!

Although many medical factors can play a major role in weight gain, as well as loss!!! Consult ya' doc', if ya' really feel its a prob'!!!

Eating one incorrect food item a day...Will NOT totally throw off ya' whole diet!!!

Jesus knows 10 all the way.....i don't have a problem with diets....i could run a whole day on one apple but the exercise is what gets to me...if you slip up... u can't just give up continu it doesn't happen quickly( oh how i wish it did).i need to loose a lot around the same as you....but i think thin people are lucky and their genetics is better

Thin people are thin due to what they DON'T eat -- and you can do the same.
When you get the urge to have something to eat, have a drink of water instead.
But the main thing is to prevent those mid-morning, mid-afternoon and after-dinner cravings.
Start with a good breakfast. Poached egg on toast (don't butter the toast) is a good start. So is oatmeal porridge, with raisins in it, so you don't need to add sugar.
Make sure you eat a filling lunch - salads seem like a healthy thing to eat, but you really need something with a bit of protein to carry you through the afternoon, and that's where a tuna or salmon sandwich can help out. Again, use unbuttered bread and mix the tuna or salmon with some low-cal mayonnaise, and shredded lettuce or celery.
If you get the munchies in mid-afternoon, or on the drive home after work, baby carrots are great. They keep your jaws busy and convince your stomach that there's lots of good stuff coming.
Eat a nice, balanced dinner -- and here's where you can enjoy your salad, with a small portion of meat.
Treat yourself to desert -- a piece of fresh fruit is great. Splurge on something exotic if you wish.
Make sure you drink lots of water during the day, and you can enjoy herbal tea (without sugar) as there are no calories in it but it helps to fill you up.
So instead of saying 'NO' to everything you like, just say, "thanks, but I think I'll have something else instead".

I do not have any flaming desire to lose weight even tho I am not streamlined.I have come to the realization that if people can't take me for my size then how true a friend are they?

5. i believe that when you want to lose weight bad enough and when it is the right time then it will easy to not slip up.

I'm in the same boat. I ate three cookies 100 calories each. That's a meal.

dieting is not he way to go. because they restrict certain things that you need to eat and can be very dangerous. for example, low-carb diets. HELLO! you need tons of carbs. you just need to work them off AND THAT IS THE KEY! you can eat WHATEVER YOU WANT as long as you are commited to working it off. that's why people eat healthy- its easier to work off than an enormous bag of Maccas. thats what i do and i couldnt be happier with my figure.

5. I can lose weight if I laid off of junk food however I'm at a good weight.
