Become more physically in tune with what you are feeling, and you will begin to resonate with others. The better you know yourself, the better you will understand others. People who practice yoga and meditation, and some other types of physical relaxation, know this.

It is a good thing to be in tune with other's feelings if it does not overwhelm you. Some folks have a sort of gift and are over-affected by other's feelings and it gives them anxiety (this can develop if one was parented by a less than optimal parent, meaning neglected or abused in any way). For them it is even more important to learn to manage it in the ways I've described, or it will interfere with their functioning.

That's a pretty broad question. If you really want to know how others feel, talk to them. Tell them your story then maybe, if they're comfortable, they'll open up to you. If you truly care about someone, it's very important to know what their feelings are.

Mission work. Volunteer for some inner city program. See how poverty works up close.

you listen to what others are saying or not saying, watch their body language, look at their facial expressions... It's always good to be syphathetic and empathetic. It can help you better understand people:-)

Die to self & not be so self-obsorbed. You have to really care about people, care about
their soul, care about what happens to them.
