for jon x....I am simply asking a question...I have not put anyone down, and yes you are right, I definitely get alot of great answers from Christians, and if you did not realize it, where have I attacked athiest, I am simply asking a question. I do not hold myself higher than anyone if that is what you are implying. A question is a question, and I actually got some good insight from the nonbelievers and can understand their concerns. I used to be an athiest myself and said all the same things, and experienced all the same things. Tonight just seems to be an attack Christians night with some nasty questions and answers. Athiest constantly ask Christians about God...Constantly, so why can't a Christian ask an athiest a simple question? You actually sound like one of those self-riteous people that easily chase people away from God.

P.S. Jon x............I do not in the least bit feel victimized (I can't even stand the concept of ever being considered a victim) People ask questions to LEARN. If this question does not apply to a person, they do not need to answer it. Just like every other question. your answer is the first answer that i have recieved from another Christian that actually makes me realize why people are turned away from Jesus.

and also for your information I do not attack athiest at all. In fact I am the only Christian in my family, and I have a large family, and we are very close. I could not imagine attacking an athiest. My twin sister is an athiest. So do not accuse me, or you will be accused.

jon x....Christians are not proud, like you boast in your profile, you do not talk like a christian at all. I on the other hand, know that I am not perfect and that is why Jesus came to save us. I hope your pride can save you. Athiest have my respect at least, but sorry, I have none for you.

For others...Ive had mormons come knocking on my door, and Jehovah witnisses knocking on my door. Ive never had a Christian come knocking on my door. I can't say I completely understand these two other religions but I do not consider them Christians. I know a little about Catholics, but I understand also that they changed the ten commandments, so they are not really Christians either. I don't believe or see any hard evidence that Christians control this country, look to the big corporations for that (follow the money and you will see who runs this country). I do know that I was turned away from religion because a few people tried pushing it down my throat, but Ive come to understand that religion is a man made organization. There are alot of people who twist the words in the Bible for their own interpretation and lie to both athiest and believers. I found after reading the Bible for myself, that the Bible warns of all these things, false religions, false teachers, false profits.

It is what i see happening in this world, along with what the Bible says about these things (prophecies and warnings) that make me a believer. I can understand not believing though because i have been there.

This sort of surreptitious anti-Witness bigotry is shameful. In fact, Jehovah's Witnesses actually *ARE* Christians.
Trinitarians repeatedly pretend that Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christian. Trinitarians use an artificial, trinity-specific definition of the term "Christian" which excludes anyone who does not believe that Jesus is God Himself, rather than the Son of God. Interestingly, pagans in the first century pretended that Christ's followers were Atheists(!) because the Christians had a somewhat different idea from the pagans about the nature of God.
Jehovah's Witnesses teach that no salvation occurs without Christ, that accepting Christ's sacrifice is a requirement for true worship, that every prayer must acknowledge Christ, that Christ is the King of God's Kingdom, that Christ is the head of the Christian congregation, that Christ is immortal and above every creature, even that Christ was the 'master worker' in creating the universe! Both secular dictionaries and disinterested theologians acknowledge that Jehovah's Witnesses are a Christian religion.
The Trinitarian arguments are intended to insult and demean Jehovah's Witnesses, rather than to give a Scripturally accurate understanding of the term "Christian".
In fact, the bible most closely associates being "Christian" with preaching about Christ and Christ's teachings. Review all three times the bible uses the term "Christian" and note that the context connects the term with:
"declaring the good news"
'teaching quite a crowd'
'open eyes, turn from dark to light'
"uttering sayings of truth"
"persuade"
"keep on glorifying"
(Acts 11:20-26) [The early disciples of Jesus] began talking to the Greek-speaking people, declaring the good news of the Lord Jesus... and taught quite a crowd, and it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called Christians.
(Acts 26:17-28) [Jesus said to Paul] I am sending you, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light and from the authority of Satan to God... Paul said: “I am not going mad, Your Excellency Festus, but I am uttering sayings of truth and of soundness of mind. ...Do you, King Agrippa, believe the Prophets? I know you believe.” But Agrippa said to Paul: “In a short time you would persuade me to become a Christian.”
(1 Peter 4:14-16) If you are being reproached for the name of Christ, you are happy... But if he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame, but let him keep on glorifying God in this name
So why do anti-Witnesses try to hijack the term "Christian" and hide its Scriptural implications? Because anti-Witnesses recognize that it is the preaching work that makes it clear that the relatively small religion of Jehovah's Witnesses are by far the most prominent followers of Christ:
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded

Why do you think Athiest are attacking christians? All these blogs are christians trying to pick a fight with Athiests. Are you mad because we don't believe your foolish ways? I could care less if you are happy or not because it doesn't mean anything to me. I think you have to get a life or just stick to your own kind. Have a nice day.

As a Christian I don't know if I can support your statement. Yes, SOME atheist have been incredibly rude and even condescending, but what of all the "Christians" on here who have been anything but? What of them? I always find personally troubling how many Christians claim to be victimized by others yet show no penance for their attacks on those who may not share their views. Zealotry and militancy is not simply the purview of the atheist, many "Christians" sadly practise this as well.

It's the total lack of logic and reason that gets me. Some of you Christians don't even believe that you are mammals. Are some of you laying eggs....or what? Now, there must be some stupid atheists that have some ridiculous ideas. Not only that, if it weren't for the atheists this section would dribble down to muslims and anti-muslims hacking at each other. And...have you never seen a question squarely aimed at the atheists in this section...with the words ..'merely' ...and 'pathetic'...'sad' and such...talk about the pot calling the kettle black...be reasonable and logical...if at all possible...lol

I don't have other religions coming to my door or talking nasty to those of us that don't believe. Christians are the majority in my country....and much like with whites being the majority, do you really think any minority group doesn't say anything, or even have the right to talk?
Let me put it this way...
Race minorities talk about the majority...
Social class minorities talk about the majority...
Religious minorities talk about the majority...
Poor people talk about the spoiled rich...
People controlled by a bad government talk about the government people...
See a trend? It happens, just a fact of life. No one is "special" to the point they are beyond being mocked by others.

I don't "mock" Christianity. I attack it in self-defence. Why? Well, because living in an Occidental country, my life is controlled by Christianity. And I'm trying to be free from that.

The dominance of Christianity on these forums would be one of them. The other would be the fact that being (most of us) from a western country we are affected most by Christianity.
